About the Project
Tricerat provides world-class printing and scanning software for even the most complex IT environments. The company’s software, ScrewDrivers®, enables end users to print from any device, in any location, to any printer. Tricerat empowers companies to achieve more and spend less time on mundane printing and scanning IT tasks. ScrewDrivers’ drag-and-drop console is the hub for simplified enterprise print management—seamlessly managing mobile, native and virtual printing, while empowering users to carry out advanced printing tasks without needing to contact the Help Desk. Tricerat is proud to be headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, and serve over 10,000 customers globally.
Tricerat came to me looking for help on how to brand their software, ScrewDrivers, and how they would tie the software product branding back into the main branding of Tricerat. The logo needed to be simple but impactful. The challenge was to create an effective product logo that works with the main umbrella branding of Tricerat. In addition to the product branding, they needed illustrated screenshots/graphics of the software to be used in collateral, website, social, etc.
Product Branding
For the branding of ScrewDrivers, there were several various iterations—I experimented with different elements of the Tricerat branding such as the green dot (also known as a tittle) as well as other concepts such as a gear and a printer. The logo had to work in many formats—with a tagline, without a tagline, and different levels/versions of the software (essentials, professional, enterprise).
The final direction that was implemented for ScrewDrivers was the concept of the green printer with the dots flowing through. It represents the flexibility of the ScrewDrivers software and the ease of managing printer and scanner drivers in a variety of environments.

Software Product Illustrations
The product illustrations were created to represent the software in a simple and effective way. These will be used in various collateral, social content, and the Tricerate website. We created a variety of different screenshots for different industries such as the healthcare industry. The illustrated screenshots shown here some of the first iterations with fun copy representing the show, The Office, and the move, Office Space.
