Android in the Enterprise

With Windows Mobile reaching the end of support in January 2020, Barcoding launched an integrated campaign and research program to survey customers and industry leaders about their knowledge of the change, their perspective on the process of migrating, and the challenges and opportunities in the adoption of new mobile technology. Our goals for the campaign included: gathering insights to use to expand our customer relationships; driving connection points with key customers; expanding our brand digitally in one specific area of expertise; supporting new offices in Canada and Texas; educating and connecting our partners and our sales teams; and driving net new opportunities to sell mobile technology and services.

The Android in the Enterprise Campaign was multifaced—promotional efforts focused on digital strategies (integrated social and email marketing) and included a custom destination site (barcoding.com/android-enterprise) that continues to grow as we develop content from the research. The research component leveraged a combination of tactics: a year-long digital survey, 12 1-hour phone interviews, and 6 in-person workshops (Geek Tanks). The Geek Tank workshops were held in 6 cities, 2 countries (the US and Canada) with 1 mission. The goal was to move the industry forward and lead the way in readying enterprise companies for Android and lead to years of continuous improvement.

Throughout the campaign, there was a comprehensive system of assets created including; a multiple-paged responsive website, email templates & email signature images, over 400 social media posts, 43-page report full of data about Android Migration, ads to promote the Android Migration report, desktop wallpapers, and much more. The responsive website included; a home page for everything content-wise for Android, a resource center, podcast page, report download landing page, and a series of solutions pages.
